Something new can be called a system, if you have a particular trait or characteristic, namely:

1. Having elements
2. Have a limit (boundary)
3. Having environments
4. Having a link (interface)
5. Having entered (input)
6. Having output
7. Having a processor (process)
8. Having a target (objectives) or destination (goal).

Elements
System (elements)

The elements of the system can be a subsystem or parts of the system, a system of small betapun always contain elements. In other words is the smallest element of the system can no longer be parsed, for example: on a computer system is a key on the keyboard

Boundary System (boundary).

Boundary system is an area that limits the system between a system with other systems or with other environments. Boundary system allows a system is seen as one entity. Limitation of the system, which limits the system environment in the form:
- Personnel
- Regulations
- Appliances
- Expenses, etc.

External Environment

Outside the system environment is anything outside the system boundary that affect and are affected operating systems.
Example: on a computer system, electrical system is the external environment

Liaison System

Liaison is a media liaison between the subsystems with other subsystems. Output (output) of the subsystems will be put the other subsystems through a liaison.
Example: The cable on a computer system.

Input System

Enter is the energy put into the system, the form input treatment (maintenance inputs) and input signal (input signal).
Maintenance input
The energy that is inserted so that the system can operate.
Example: electrical energy, the system software on a computer system.
Signal input
The energy that is processed to obtain the output.
Example: data on a computer system.

Output
System

The output is a result of the energy output is processed includes a useful and residual disposal.
Example: the computer system, the output of useful information; heat useless.
Output, the system is functioning release information (destination end system) in the form
- Form
- Report
- Graphic display, etc.
- Feedback, can be improved, etc.

Processing System (process)

Enter changes into outputs.
Transformation (Process), the system that processes the input data into information in accordance with the wishes of the recipient.
- Sorting
- Merger
- Search
- Classification, etc.
Example: on a computer system to change data into information.

Goal or purpose of the system (objective / goal)

System of a proper business purpose (goal), accounting system or subsystem that is smaller then the target term (objective) is more appropriate.
The purpose of the system, can be:
- Economic Objectives
- The purpose of humane
- Social purpose, etc.
